Este club nació como una asociación de amigos en el año 1997, todos con una afición en común, volar. A partir de ese momento empezamos a realizar actividades destinadas a promocionar el deporte del vuelo en toda la provincia de León, entre estas actividades están la organización de competiciones (regionales,nacionales e internacionales ) y la iniciación al la práctica de este deporte con la única escuela oficial de la provincia ( Escuela Leonesa de Parapente ). En este momento hemos ampliado nuestras actividades al paramotor pues vemos que es una manera de volar que te permite practicar el parapente en zonas llanas, que por suerte o por desgrácia en León hay muchas.
